Certificates

A certificate of insurance for a plumbing job in Chula Vista.

A certificate is proof of a policy that is already in force. It is not a new policy. Same-day certs when the job needs them. The office needs the certificate holder's name and address, the job name or address, and the wording the general contractor sent. Email that to certs@mainline-ins.com or call 619-420-8600.

This opens an email to certs@mainline-ins.com. It does not issue the certificate.

Words that show up on the request.

  • Additional insured. The holder wants to be added to the liability policy.
  • Waiver of subrogation. The holder wants the insurer to waive recovery against them.
  • Primary and noncontributory. The holder wants the plumber's policy to respond first.

Each one is an endorsement. The policy has to allow it. The exact paragraph from the contract is more useful than a paraphrase. General liability explains those words.

If there is no policy yet.

A certificate follows a bound policy. If the plumber does not have the coverage yet, call 619-420-8600 or get a quote.
