A suit against the shop
When the homeowners carrier sues the plumber.
On November 26, 2024, Fireman's Fund Insurance Company sued Johnson Diversified, Inc., doing business as Plumbing Solutions, in Los Angeles Superior Court in Inglewood. Lusardi Construction Co. is also named. The claims are breach of a written contract, negligence, and breach of the implied warranty of workmanlike performance. The public docket does not describe the building, the pipe, or a dollar amount. This page does not fill those in. Mainline places contractor coverage from 779 3rd Avenue, Chula Vista. Call 619-420-8600. This page does not show a premium.
What the file actually says.
The case number is 24TRCV04007. Judge Ronald F. Frank was assigned. The complaint, as titled on the docket, is for damages on those three claims. A jury trial was set on the docket for October 28, 2026. This page does not report a verdict. The last public posting used here did not include one.
An insurer files this kind of case in its own name after it has paid, or while it is answering, a loss it says someone else's work caused. The customer may never be the person who serves the papers. The defendant on the caption is the plumbing company.

That caption is a liability claim.
The three titles on the complaint are the titles a general liability policy is written to answer. Breach of a written contract is the job agreement. Negligence is the claim that the work fell short of ordinary care. Workmanlike performance is the claim that the job was not done in a reasonably skillful way. The docket does not say which of those Fireman's Fund can prove. It says those are the claims the plumber has to answer.
The paper to send the carrier is the complaint, the contract, and the job notes. The job notes are the same notes that matter when a kitchen leak turns into a fight about whether the water was sudden. That fight, in a published California case, is here. Old polybutylene left in the wall after a one-fitting repair is here. What a liability policy is for, without a price, is on the liability page.
